Danny LaneThree Rivers RanchMy name is Danny Lane. I’ve been guiding the rivers of Eastern Idaho since 2015. I initially moved to the area after my wife was hired to be a game warden in the Saint Anthony area. My plan was to teach high school English, but I started guiding instead, and just kept doing it. I love to share my reverence and enthusiasm for the area that I think often gets overlooked in favor of closer options. https://trroutfitters.com/
David RaischHawgfish fly tying company and Orvis Lodge at Palisades CreekDavid moved west in 1998 and began fly fishing and fly tying when he moved to Idaho. While doing Biology graduate work at Idaho State University with research on the Portneuf River he was always interested in water quality and wetland science. He bought a drift boat with student loan money and began floating the South Fork with a passion. He fell in love with the bigger South Fork and chose to begin guiding there in 2013. “The Management support at TLAPC has been a highlight of my guiding experience and their generosity is unmatched. Being able to run trips on the main snake and American Falls area has also been a true blessing in guiding. Chasing trophy trout and endless bass in the summer gives him the best of both worlds in guiding The Snake River.” Dave’s favorite type of fishing is hunting the big water for trophy fish with streamers. When he’s not fishing he’s tying flies and creating new patterns and techniques for innovative fly fishing.
